Club Náutico Los Nietos Marina - Marina Berths / Moorings
Club Náutico Los Nietos Marina What started out as a wooden hut on piles is now the largest yacht club in the Mar Menor, a traditional club built in the typical Mar Menor style out in the water, which would otherwise be to shallow, and connected to the shore by a bridge. Anchoring is possible anywhere at the north of this harbour, on sand and weed. Approach is easy; from the southeast, Punta de Plomo, prominent but low with a lone house, serves as a landmark, and the large conspicuous yacht club itself. From the NW, this coastline has few identifiable features but the small hill El Carmoli and the town of Los Urrutias can be picked out and cross bearings on the Islas Perdiguera, Mayor and del Ciervo should help. There is a good range of facilities offered, including a swimming pool. The proximity of the village on the adjoining shore means the shops and other services are close to hand.
