One of the Costa Dorada’s most important fishing fleets lies at Arenys de Mar, and a basin has been created exclusively for the fishermen, to port on entering. The port also houses a fish-freezing plant. Berths for yachts are right inside the spacious harbour itself, up in the W corner in front of the yacht club. This is a really sheltered harbour with plenty of space and depth, making it easy to manoeuvre inside even in the worst of weather. Many French yachts call into Arenys and berths may be difficult to find, especially in the summer.

There are two large boatyards located on the E mole, with a full complement of mechanical and refit services as well as electronics, etc. There is another small basin along here and this also has berths for transient yachts. The club- house has a swimming pool and restau- rant/bar. The tall stone building houses the port offices and other commercial premises.
